Evo's on the M6
« on: 30 August 2008, 20:31:50 »

Any one know what was going on on the M6 this afternoon, about 3-ish?
As we were travelling north, we saw, what must've been hundreds of Mitsibishi Evo's travelling south in convoy. It was around Stafford area.

Are you sure they weren't subaru impreza's, as there was a rally today where a lot of subaru's drove from lanark in scotland to the oxford home of subaru rally uk in memory of Colin Mcrae as it's a year since he died in a Helicopter crash

Could very well have been Imprezas! ::) Mostly blue! ::) It was a section of the motorway where the central reservation had  big concrete blocks & so I couldn't really see over very well.
There were a few bridge with various crowds with banners.

Definately Subarus then!  :-[
As the link suggest, it must've easily been 20 miles.
One section was a complete stop, a couple a cars were on the hard shoulder & I assume it was just the rubber necks that stopped the motorway as I'm sure there wasn't a bump of any kind.

Not that I've seen. Mostly BMWs and 'Overs in my previous 30k miles a year experience.

But the path the cambelt takes to cover a DOHC boxer is a long and expensive one. Easy to spend that cash on a big spoiler or unnecessary blow off valve...  ;D ;D ;D
