The truth is most members of the general public do not remember these anniversaries, and do not care anyway. Like most dates in history they go without any fuss, celebration or remembrance because all people want to do is get on with life and deal with the everyday challenges that entails.
The criminal a very little percentage of our population are holding vigils for should just be ignored and treated with the contempt it and they deserve. There are those that still celebrate Hitler and the Nazis, so the ignorant and contemptible will always be with us!!

So why are they wasting taxpayers money to mark the anniversary of a convicted criminals drug overdose?
It's not that people don't care about atrocities against decency, but rather that they aren't allowed to express disagreement for fear of being of being labled as Nazis, or worse, racist. Being afraid to speak out is not the same as condoning or ignoring.
It's broadly accepted that Hitler was a psychopathic Lady bits, but there are those who respect what he achieved* And by and large his truest followers mark events quietly and mindful of being very much a minority.
The lefty wokist sheeple have far more in common with the equally misguided neo fascist extremist sensibilities than they care to admit.
* to be clear, going from immigrant to Chancellor is no mean feat. What he did next bears no justification, and I give none for it.
