Saw them at their best in the Seventies, I'd be disappointed with them now I'm sure.

Yes like me you would be. :(

This is how I remember them from 1966, and film from slightly later years :

Did you throw your knickers at them Lizzie? ;D

Oh no, never  :o………………I only did that for the Beatles…..and Paul in particular! ;D ;D ;)
So . . . a slight topic deviation

I was at the Stones concert in Hyde park on the 5th July 1969! (showing off my age now!)
Sat on my arse for over 8 hours and there was no way you could leave otherwise you could not get back to where you were sitting.
I am just behind the black geyzer gyrating around in the crowd if you look at the very grainy video of "Stones in the park"
Ended up sleeping in the Roundhouse theatre under the bar and did a runner in the morning. Also jumped the barrier at the nearest tube station to get back to south Londun where I was living at the time.
Great day though!!  8) 8)

If my memory serves, Blind Faith,s first gig was as the support act that day. About a week after Brian Jones died I think.

Blind Faith was another concert before the Stones on another date. Brian Jones died two days before the concert but they decided to carry on as a memorial to Brian and that was when they had to pull in Mick Taylor. Mick J read a poem for Brian by Shelley and released thousands of butterflies.  8) 8)

My memory doesnt serve that well then.  ;D
Mick Taylor was a superb guitarist. Best they ever had by far imo. I never thought Ronnie Wood added much tbh. I bit too loose and messy for my liking.
