That article is a very good read. I didn’t see it first time round.

Given the number of soldiers required to “ police “ the new Ukraine/Russia border, it wouldn’t surprise me if countries introduced national service.

The other interesting point in the article was the graphic showing the location of the rare earths. Putin has done well with grabbing a good part of them.

Talking of rare earths, there's an article in today's Telegraph saying that Ukraine's rare earth resources are nowhere near what is being claimed and it's a lot of hype. 

I wonder if Zelenskyy has sold Trumpy a lemon?

Yeah, read that earlier in the week. The 'rare earths' they do have are not that rare and have mainly been replaced with other minerals.
