Well, when they check things, they obviously work to a standard and tolerance...so they could check the car to a closer using a closer tolerance, especially on the brake strength readings

The car should be checked to manufacturer's specifications, at any age, as they do with emissions... no more no less...

True, but there's got to be a tolerance between, Perfect, advisory and dangerous
