I think Israel would be happy to drop a couple of nukes if it helped.

Problem with that is that many (probably most) Iranians hate the regime and would love to see it eliminated.
If someone nukes the place, those innocent people will be vapourised and the leaders may have arrangements for themselves where they have a reasonable chance of escaping it.

Those subsequent posts are all well and good. No doubt a bit of lefties bashing cheered them up but it still hasn’t answered the question.

The nearest we got was flatten the place. Power plants and bridges might work. There have been enough wars for people to realise that the nation keeps on going through it all.

The nation isn't the regime and vice versa.

Iran will recover and be a happier place for it.

You'll of course turn round say that didn't work out so well for Afghanistan, but that's because we tried to deal with the Taliban on modern terms and not with their medieval mindset. Not helped by the fact that we didn't actually help the majority of Afghans in the ways they actually needed, ie given them the structure to support and stand up for themselves.

If you take the fight to these regimes, the people you're striving to help need to be prepared to die for it, and we need to be prepared to die helping them.

That's what the left finds so unpalatable, and why the left don't understand right wing conservative patriotism.

The world can be a fair and just place, but you have to sacrifice to make it so. Being a woke leftist is a convenience, not a sacrifice.
