Just in case ,make sure you have at least 3 days worth of water/food in readiness that's the advice from our brain dead defence secretary 3 days we've got more like 3 weeks & that's completely normal for us perhaps we were anticipating an attack..😂

Is he though?

Freezer full of food, what happens when the grid goes down through enemy action. No food and for a lot of homes no power to cook it?  No internet to order more, logistics centres unable to also function. Phone network switched to category working so most folk can only receive calls and messages from the authorities eg stay home it is pointless clogging the roads looking for anywhere that might have some bread……

At what point does the man in the street or indeed the government accept we are at war? Drone incursion into uk airspace, cyber attack ( we are already having those) deliberate cutting of internet undersea cables, destruction of pipelines…."…………………… nuclear weapon to create a tidal wave engulfing London, biological agent. War could look very different to anything we have seen including Ukraine ( though that has focussed minds).

Have a carefree day everyone :y

They probably wouldn't even tell us. When they release a statement about something ridiculous like banning conkers or making it illegal to own a pet, that's when you'll know there's bigger things going on. By which time they'll all be elsewhere.

That was the point that the head of MI5 has made twice in as many months. The threats are continuous but aren't being taken seriously by government.

It has been suggested that they want a war as it will be an excuse to prevent the next election and after what's coming, any government that we have will be a puppet one because, chances are the UK will simply be another 3rd world shit hole with nothing useful left to offer.

The next financial crash is coming as well, and there's never a better time for a war than when the economy is tanked.

Fundamentally, whatever happens you can guarantee that the monkeys running the asylum will be as out of their depths as they ever were and we'll end up on the wrong side of all of it.

On the bright side, at least it's not raining...

If I were you V, I would make the most of Spain and just fondly remember childhood day trips to Scarborough and not give Blighty a second look.

Apart from milk & bread, I reckon swmbo has at least a months worth of food stockpiled.
Im always complaining about it, and this " advice" from Streeting will no doubt give her ammo to argue back with.
Not that she really needs the ammo, as she just ignores me anyway.  ::) ;D

I'll just light a fire out back and eat the dog, then the wife. I should be alright for a year or so.

The fact that they say you should be prepared for any uncertainty speaks volumes as to the country's formal preparedness and ability to ward off any threats.

Guy Fawkes night isn't too far away which may be seen as a timely opportunity to resolve the current shit show.

Governments are the same the world over. For example the Conservatives handling of COVID.

We are reasonably well placed with solar, batteries and a well too. Torches and so on. The point I was making was that most people are not remotely prepared for disruption.

Anyway fortunately we have got Trump on Putins side plus Trump is going to resolve the Iran war.
