Also tried it in the wifes 1.4 206.  No difference to speak of.

The FJ1200 likes it though, for some reason!

i think you need an engine that develops some power to be able to notice the difference ;)

Been using BP Ultimate for the last year so.

What BT Ultimate and Shell V-Power (Optimax) claim is that the fuel contains detergents that help keep the fuel system and valves clean – as do additives such as Forte, STP, and Redex – and I am much more interested in this side of things, but I am not sure if Tesco also add detergents to the 99 fuel – does anyone know or seen them claim this anywhere?

Chopsmam recons our Tesco has 97 not 99 but she fills hers up with 95.  My first question was Eh? Wot is she doing noticing RON ratings & secondly could she be right?

I think the answer is that most Tesco petrol stations have both 95 and 97, but few have also the 99.

Incidentally, the local Tesco's around here have Esso petrol stations, noy Tesco, and they only have 95, not even 97... So I buy BT Ultimate instead. At least I get Nectar points...  :)

I tried the BP Ultimate for a few tankfulls & did notice a very slight difference in performance, but not sure it's worth the extra...
