New SD video cameras
« on: 19 October 2008, 20:30:11 »

Anyone used these yet, PAL, 720P, and 1080P models that record onto SD cards?  Look quite good, and the PAL ones are very reasonably priced!  Samsung has a couple that we are interested in, wondering if anyone had used them and had any comments?  Cheers!

Trains may have been invented here, but public transport is a foreign concept!

decent lens on them? Seam to remember they were ok but the lens let the unit down.

If you have to get your own memory, make sure its high speed SD.

Cheers.  Is 15MB/s adequate, or do I need to pay more for these Class 4 'video' SD cards?

I would imagine not.... pictures taken by my Nikon D80 are about 3mb each, and in theory i can take 100's one after the other till the card is full.

So even with stills that means 5 frames a second in effect?  :-/

I would go all out for the video SD's

This is about the transfer speed.

Cheers Tunnie.  Difference is 45 vs 35 for 16GB so not that bad.
