Did the earth move for you?
« on: 26 October 2008, 20:28:35 »

BBC:
An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale has been felt in Herefordshire.

The epicentre was 6km from Bromyard at 1806 GMT and was described as "weak" by the British Geological Survey (BGS).

Sandra Green in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, told the BBC she felt a "thud through the whole house".

Roger Musson, of BGS, said it is the kind of tremor they would expect to see once a year but this is in fact the second this year.

He said it was not strong enough to do any structural damage.

Heather Blevins, 43, of Holmfirth Place, Belmont, Herefordshire, said "the whole house shook" but nothing was damaged.

Police received reports of it affecting an area between Malvern and Worcester.
