Just rewatched a replay of that bit, wasn't raining any harder at that point than previous lap, so maybe he had a breakdown, but enough power to get up that long hill. His times appeared to be good up until last 2 sectors  :-/

If I had to support a team, it would be McLaren, based purely on the fact my brother worked there for years.  I suppose Honda as well, seeing as they are based in town, but they are useless, with 2 has-beens drivers.

I'm with you on that. Glock did the honours for Lewis - and I think he knew that with Vittel.

What remains is that we have a British champion. That's good and I am chuffed with that.

But congrats to Hamilton....race pretty dreary until the last few laps..then edge of seat stuff.
For some reason most of the F1 drivers do not like Hamilton....some of this is because he is good .....but there is another reason....I think he just rubs other drivers up the wrong way.
