Phone No data base

I have noticed at times that some members need to get hold of another member via phone & so have posted up in General Chat for anyone that has their No.
Members that wouldn't mind having their No in a data base (held say by an Admin/s) could give said No, mobile, work or home to the data base for future reference by Admin/s. The data base could be held on a cd (to be lost by government) or another storage divice. This would save alot of wasted time waiting when an urgent call is needed.
Just a thought ;)

Personally, my private contact number is known only to a few on here and I would prefer that it stays that way.......

Been mentioned before.

Not an idea I am happy with.  Forgetting the privacy implications, I certainly don't have the time to deal with the constant updates, and constant requests.  I'm sure the rest of the Admin team are equally busy with their real lives as well.


Like H21, I certainly don't want my contact details known by too many.  I simply wouldn't have the time to be able to answer all queries - I struggle just with PMs.

Also, posts aimed purely to attract the attention on 1 person from another member don't last long  ::) - thats what the PM system is for.


But it boils down to:
If members want certain other members to have their details, they can share that privately via PM.  I don't think the Admin team should be maintaining or distributing a list, even if they had the inclination to maintain such a list

I wouldnt fancy my phone details on a database.  My home number is a very closly guarded secret, where as my mobile seems to be given you most.

Should anyone ever need to contact me there are 3 or 4 people on the forum who have my number and  I would think they would allways pass a message on in an emergeny.  2 of them are on here daily.

What I will add though, if anyone wishes to have my mobile number then just PM me and I might let you have it.   ;D ;D
