A fantastic bargain?
« on: 17 November 2008, 14:28:19 »

I've just purchased a Photo Scanner at an unbelievable price.

http://theelectronicscorp.com/product_info.php?products_id=272

This Epson Perfection 4490 Scanner is recommended at £149.99, and this company are selling them at £67.17 including postage :o :o :o

I thought it could be an American company but they are registered in the UK.

I'd be interested in your thoughts

Did you search the net for company reviews first? I just looked and found lots of forum posts suggesting that its not a legit site!

What method of payment did you use? I hope it was a credit card then at least you should be protected.

Hope I'm wrong though bud!

According to their blurb they ship all items from Florida -- just a UK frontsite --- might well be stung for import duty too  :-[

And as well as import taxes, the courier will demand a 'handling charge'

Thanks for your replies.

Have a copy of the order just incase. It states the price as £67.17 with no other charges.

Have paid with a credit card though so should be alright.

Just cancelled that particular credit card. Thanks to you all. Found out that they are just after your credit card number to use for themselves.

A lesson learned. :-[ :-[ When its too good to be true it usually is. :y
