My anti "correct view" views

Catalyctic converters

Waste of resources, and cause a rise in fuel consumption. We should be looking at decreasing emmisions by improved fuel usage.

Wind farms - too much energy used to manufacture

Severn Barrage - will be a disaster area.

My ideas

Some more Nuclear power, but concentrate on lower comsumption.

Some tidal power woould be good, but not important wet lands.

Do we need mways lit at 03:00?

Do shops need to be fully lit all night?

Do we need as many street lights in town - too much pollution as it is.

Remember tho.., Dinosaurs lasted for millions of years and it was a climate change caused by outside factors (meteor possibly) that killed them off.., we've only been around for a few thousand lol.., (and seem to be well on the way to being evicted by Mother Earth) supposedly increased intelligence does not seem to be getting us very far til now (compared to the dinosaurs) lol?

Agreed. These killed off a whole generation of more efficient petrol engines under development when europe followed the US lead and mandated their use. >:( Again, big business and politicians (johnson matthey etc.) in each other's pockets an manipulating the environmental truth to line their pockets. There are much better things we could be doing with some of our most precious metals.

.. and dumping energy into the grid whenever it's windy doesn't help anyone. It does stifle investment in more efficient fossil fuel plant though.

Yep. The way I see it the government keep hounding the private individual over their negligible energy consumption when businesses and the public sector are free to waste massive amounts of energy.

Not to mention air travel, the expansion of which is being positively encouraged by the government, to the detriment of private flying and people's living environments, and the resulting (massive) CO2 emissions are swept under the carpet. >:(
