Despite old Fords being a favourite i did have a lovely Avenger (or Scavenger) as we called them, a blue 1500DL with a long speedo, tiny dished steering wheel & a wooden gear knob with the crossed rally flags. It was XTA something or other K reg. I was 18 & banned from driving in sunny Worthing but i could drift it round Broadwater roundabout in the early hours. This would've been 1981/2 when i was 18/19. Then i got put away again so no idea what happened to the car!
