C'mon guys. Someone died here. And somewhere a mother, father sister or brother will be grieving a loss.

Agreed.  And possibly considering it a consequence of the job they do?  We dont all use sledgehammers at 3 in the morning just to scratch our piles....

I'll bet he would have only been late teens or early twenties. Kids like this can't think about the consequences of their actions but happily most grow out of offending behaviour by the time they are 30.

And how much grief and aggrevation have they caused from an early age upto their 30's?  Thats approaching a 20 year reign of terror...

Who knows what this kid might have eventually done with his life.

or who.....

Sorry to sound bad about it but conclusions can be jumped to at either side of the assumption....

i would love to have your compassion and ability to look at things from an alternative point of view, however having been in the receiving end of scumbag who steal cars and then drive them at incredibly high speed, i can't.......no matter how hard i try...

they made a decision to run from the police, the only thing that was stopping them was their belief that the could 'get away from the police'

What angers me even more is that this now has to go to the IPCC, this will cost taxpayers money, why should there be a commission about this, they did wrong, the police were ding their job.

Let me put another angle on this.......what if they had killed someone with their driving, if they were driving badly enough to crash and kill themselves then we should be thankful and innocent member of the public didn't suffer.

if they hadn't been doing wrong, they wouldn't have been where they were at that time, so the chase wouldn't have occurred, they wouldn't have hit the lorry, hence no one would have died...................i rest my case

I agree entirely, no sympathy here.

To answer the question of wether it is east to break ino cars or not.
I used to work for one of the breakdown orginisations in the past, and we had to break into many cars. Vauxhalls in general are no worse than any other car for gaining entry. In fact the hardest 2 cars of the time where the Mondeo and the Cavalier mk3 (if deadlocked, and yes people did manage to do it).

The trouble is we had to break in without causing damage, the average scrote will just break a window which is very easy on any car.

The mk2 Astra had a reputation for being easy to break into, and the scrotes would attack the door lock bit where the key went in, it goes to show how stupid they are as the mk2 Astra could be opened with a flat blade in about 5 seconds and cause no damage.
Friends in the no, tell me the easiest one today is the Discovery, it is so easy that Land Rover insisted the breakdown orginisations break a window and Land Rover will pay for the replacement glass  :o

Easiest car I saw to get into was the old Granada.  A mate said we couldnt do it, we opened his car and then locked it after he turned away and at the end of the yard we handed him his briefcase , we thought he might need it after he "left it in the car".  He is still bafflead to this day.

I'm afraid to say that it's people who think like you(no offence meant)that have led this world into the BL**DY mess that's it's in >:(.
I think someone in there late teens/early twenties is quite old enough to know the consequences of their actions ::)! it's simply because they don't give a toss!!! and think that the world owes them something, it's what someone like this kid as you say may have eventually done with his life that's worries me :o!!!
