I have been looking at cars again today, in the hope that i woulnd't be able to find anything that could replace the CDX.....

Have found a few cars, mainly diesels, but given the mileage i do i have a feeling that might not be a bad idea.....

the CDX as it stands:

2001 CDX 2.6
Replacement engine fitted 22,000 miles ago (it had done 10K before being pulled out of a vectra)
Car has done 119000 miles, the paintwotk on the whole is good.
MV6 leather interior
Elite Rear blind
Elite self dimming rear mirror
LPG kit fitted 20,000 miles ago
Gearbox oil and filter changed 18,000 miles ago
new diff pinion oil seal
Irmscher wood effect steering wheel
New front disc and pads at MOT (August)
New rear pads at MOT
Debadged grille
Eyebrows
Half worn Dunlop SP9000's

MOT until August 2009
Tax until Feb 2009

i am thining of putting it up for £1750

I haven't mentioned the steror as this would be the bargaining point.

I would be interested in peoples comments, this is not a for sale notice, i am still bouncing the idea about currently

I went to have a look at a BMW 530D SE, a nice car and had been well looked after.
I am really after something that will bea bit of fun as well as being reliable and economical, havce a good spattering of toys and is pretty to look at, RWD would be preferred.....not after a lot i know

Been looking at CLK mercs as well....not so sure about those

Mercedes will be more reliable but not fun like BMW..

Dont quote me Cem, but it was some advert for Audi..it more or less meant well built etc.

Thats what i had in mind jay, as the stock head unit is ok but the cd changer is fuberd and you cannot get a replacement to hook up to the original HU.

I knew it was something like that..but whatever it is my A8 is a bag of sh*t...Its done 8k and been in the garage 6 times.
