« on: 06 December 2008, 10:07:04 »

2 emails allready from a very authentic service@paypal.co.uk regarging my credit card removal due to it expiring.

It's doesnt expire till next year.
Be carefull of the scams folks, they are getting better and trying harder.

I had a cracker from Paypal a few months ago about funds I'd received.

It had all the usual safety things - Dear (my real name) - and appeared to come from Paypal's own specified outgoing mail servers (and those who know how smtp works will understand this is not spoofable).  However, Paypal denied it came from them...

I got an authentic one from them about six weeks before mine expired.

Thanks Skruntie, although I have never, and will never use Paypal, this is yet another good warning about scams that are doing the rounds. :y :y

Receive one at least once a week, with on Wednesday being e-mailed on my university site to tell me I had won a share in the Netherlands National Lottery, and of course I had to ring a certain gentleman to make a claim, giving my full personal details............yes of course, 'dangle berries' would I!!
 :( :( :(
