Damnit The Boy is right again....
« on: 08 December 2008, 15:19:27 »

Soon i will have free internet comming into affect on my mobile contract, so to take the benifits i am having an hold HTC SPV handset of a work freind. Its the one with the slide out qwerty keyboard.

Have to say, it kicks ass over my old Nokia. Its been flashed with Black Satin ROM and its pritty quick and easy to use. Very customisable, Google Maps is a joy to use on it, very slick compared to the cluttered and very slugglish Symbian version on my Nokia.

It takes MicoSD cards and its only a tenner for 8Gb!

Better still i can remote desktop to my work PC from it, so no need to carry the support laptop any more!  ;D ;D

If its spv m3100 like mine, IE can be really slow, which is my main gripe.  Unless your ROM improves that?

Yup its the 3100.

Not noticed any speed issues, i actually used logme.com to connect to my work PC, so the remote desktop is browser based. Seamed fine here  :y

It came already flashed with that ROM & its WM6 plus some other goodies already loaded, i can ask him for it if you want it?

Might look at yours before I go to the risk of flashing.  The IE being crap is my one bugbear with it. Actually, another - using it as a modem for laptop via bluetooth, the laptop and modem couldn't negotiate a modem profile :(

Mine is still WM5
