Car is going for its MOT advice needed.
« on: 21 December 2008, 14:48:19 »

Ive decided too put the car through its MOT next week....cant seeing it failing on much however the airbag light has come on (previously checked by mark and believe its the squib needs replacing.) and handbrake pulls a fair way up,it works and holds the car but quite a lot of travel.

Would the airbag light be a fail and would the handbrake be an issue or can the tester use his discretion and just advise on these. :-/

Yeah, its about 3 or 4 clicks to full on. Its not difficult to adjust.

A fault in a self diagnostic does not necessarily indicate a fault in the actual system.

6 clicks on an Omega....4 is not enough and means the cable is probably not slack when released

More then 7 clicks then it fails its mot.you can tighten it up from the bolt half way down the prop but would really last very long
