am i right in thinking that if it was removed from a manual all i need to do is put the flywheel and torque convertor from the old engine onto the new one

anyone know if this is right or if there is more involved?

Isn't there a small needle race bearing down the end of the crank on a manual  for the g/box input shaft to sit in??
Or is it the other way round ......  :-/ :-/ :-/

i did not see any sign of any needle bearing ,,, i unbolted the clutch and flywheel from the donor engine and the torque convertor and flywheel from the old engine.
 the only difference i could see was the original engine that was auto had a metal spacer between the flywheel and the crank
