No idea. I attended lectures at Brunel. Short of sharing the name, and it being near the start point of Brunel's line through Bristol (and on to USA), I have no idea.

I guess I could Google it, but I really couldn't be arsed, far to busy with other things...

I don't know either I know a lot more about the man due to living in the old GWR area and being interested in railways

No direct llink at all if I remember correctly, it wasn't even called Brunel until fairly recently. I suspect it was simply a name chosen because it was a tech college.

Its been called Brunel University since the 60's  ;)
