cant believe my son
« on: 22 January 2009, 13:52:42 »

he leaves school in the summer and i have tried talking to him about it but doesnt seem bothered. spoke to my x on the phone earlier, hes been accepted to start college in septmeber doing a 3 yr construction course. im pretty chuffed now to be honest. also his attitude has changed at home, no more holes in the walls from temper. so we have discussed about getting him transport when hes 16 in april. im very surprised that hes done all this himself and hes finally sitting up a bit more. makes yer proud doesnt it  :y :y

my m8 is fostering his nephew, his g/f reckons its a nightmare, kid is 13 and uncontrolable. he attacked his dad, the dad left marks on his wrists and his back holding him down trying to stop him and it was an assault on a juvenille or something like that, he got taken into care.
m8 reckons hes a right horrible little b'std.

All lads at that special age when they are starting to take on the responsibilities of manhood go through a difficult time when communication with their fathers can break down due to the macho "I can do it; need no one elses help" attitude. ::) ::)

The women can usually get more out of them, and soon learn that they are actually doing far more to become responsible than many older people sometimes think and give them credit for. ::) ::) ::)

Well done Richie you have obviously done a good job as the father, but it will take some more maturing by the young males before they will open up to you! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Now in respect of daughters to us mothers...........arghhhhhhhhhh!! >:( >:(  They can drive us round the bend, but to their fathers......sweetness and light! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

Re your Mate Richie,

Blimey!!   :o

I know it's not quite the same, but you see these programs like Super Nanny, and there are often reasons why kids act like this and normally ways and means to deal with them...  Still, good luck to them...

Our boy has just finished the 'Kevin the teenager' phase even though he's only 14. Shocked the h*** out of me on the weekend by clearing away all the washing up without being asked and then announced he was going up for a shower!!!!
6 months ago he would have made SuperNanny swear with his attitude and classed washing as a cruel and unusual punishment.
Just leaves our youngest daughter to get through that phase and we can have peaqce and harmony in the house........I wish
