A friend of mine was having lunch in a posh restuarant in the west end of London last Friday.He was introduced to the political editor of a National newspaper who ,during their conversation told him "hand on heart" that Gormless has a huge secret that is common knowledge in political circles but there is an agreement with editors/proprietors that it should be kept out of the media.
It probably wouldnt be wise to state what it is on a public forum,but suffice to say that it explains why he never married and had a family until he started getting within sniffing distance of becoming PM. ;) :o

You might suggest that,I couldnt possibly comment ;)
but it was a serious conversation between 2 intelligent people neither of whom were drunk.And as I said the guy was a political correspondent for a very big news paper who have actually been quite favourible to New Labour.
