true story today
« on: 25 February 2009, 23:38:33 »

My wife had to attend a funeral today as one of her friends  and workmate died last week.
She had been  terminally ill for sometime and so had plenty time to arrange her funeral etc
Now to give a bit of background this lady had a great sense of humour and a little bit of a naughty side but even my wife had to laugh as she walked into the crematorium and the minister said to her "this is a new one on me" first time for everything.
what was playing?  Arthur Brown  Fire !!

haha even after she has gone she is still cracking jokes

Sorry to hear about the loss.  That is one wicked sense of humour, I have a great plan in place should the worst thing happen while I am on Operations.  More of a party than a mourning with the obligatory military bits in there  ;D

It is quite amazing how funerals have changed over the years.
My sister's husband died a couple of years ago of cancer.
he was played out to "Mr Blue Skies" by ELO. :-/ :-* :-*

Heard on radio the other day that "Mr blue Sky " was written by Jeff Lynne, was about Trevor Francis the ex Brum city and england player, learn something everyday you do . Must admit it's a tune, which whenever i hear on radio makes me smile :) :) :)

Funny that, my brother in law was also dressed in his finest Blues fan gear (Birmingham City FC).  :'( :-*  ;)

I don't like the thought of any of us dying. I've been to two friends funerals, watching thier parents see them off brings a tear to the hardest of folk. I've made it clear i don't want to be buried & i don't want any sort of funeral or service, been there, it's too upsetting to put your family & friends through. My Granny, Anne, wanted that & i agree. She's still with me, no fuss or upset.
I'd rather be cremated & scattered somewhere.
