If you are shortlisted, you will be asked to complete a series of assessments. These include numeracy, verbal reasoning, infection control (for which you will receive pre-learning materials), Highway Code and map-reading.

If you pass these assessments, you will be invited to an interview, and from here you will be offered a fixed-term contract for a period of three years, during which you will undertake your training to become a paramedic. You will be offered permanent employment subject to successful completion of the three-year training programme.



Not bad money either!  

If you have any problems with map reading I am a ninja instructor and can help you with any questions there    It can seem a bit daunting but I also have all the army learning material  

I've seen that cheers Gaffers      Would just like to know if the papers are multi choice of true/false or even essay type questions.  Thought it was worth seeing if anyone on here might know, a long shot I know...  

I'm alright with the map reading cheers, did Duke of Edinburghs as a kid and was class one on the wagons for 2.5 years.  

I doubt you will have any probs, just remember along the corridor and up the stairs

Just wondered if anyone's been through the London Ambulance assessment procedure?    

not personally, but its a fairly standard test i believe, mixture of multi choice and some written sections as well.
good luck with it, brilliant opportunity if you get in, driving test is the worst bit i believe.
