SWMBO promoted - bye bye Miggy
« on: 03 March 2009, 13:20:08 »

Now that SWMBO has been promoted, the new role comes with a car, so this means I'll get the Galaxy to move the kids around in and the Omega has to go  :'(

Still, it'll save me repairing the dent in the tailgate, replacing the exhaust manifold gasket thats blowing, the clutch that's seen better days, the rear box that blew all it's stuffing out last year and the small coolant leak that i suspect is coming from the transfer pipe into the back of the bock.

Probably easiest to px it in for £500 against a new car, as with a few scratches and scuffs etc it probably isn't worth much more on the open market.

So what would you have had instead if you had taken company car?

I couldnt get a company car to cost in, the tax per month was horrific.

Don't do it. Take the money, swap the mig for one in better nick and you will be quids in over time, and think about the planet, recycling a old mig is better for it than building and buying a new car.
