Had to get a stamp on my Thai visa on Monday so drove up to Nong Khai on Mekong River border with Laos, went over the border, Laotinkers closed for lunch when I got there and had to wait, paid 36 dollars for a visa stamp got that, walked into duty free bought 200 bensons for eleven quid then walked back through Lao customs departure, paid eight quid for a taxi back across the bridge.

Its pretty mental as I got a 12 months visa, cost 100 quid,but every 3 months you have to leave the country just to get a stamp

I know with my missus being Filipino ive got the right to abode in the philippines indeffinately. :-/
