I'm led to believe slight numbness & tingling in certain fingers is trapped nerves at top of the spine & or a problem with carpal tunnel in the hand itself. :-/

According to the BUPA specialist that I consulted with, the nerves running to the fingers through the wrist are in a separated tunnel (carpal) from the tendons. I have damaged my left nerves through playing the Melodeon which means that the little & ring fingers on my left hand are permanently numb. I also play guitar which means that I have to finger on the frets by memory, not feel.
I was told that it could be operated on but there was a 50/50 chance that I could loose all feeling in all fingers so I have elected to leave alone.
