yes its a new test! and im fairly sure when i passed i was told it will be an extended test if you mess up in 2yrs

load of nonsense imho it doesnt save lives so why bother!

It could take hime a while to get his licence back then - not that he has a roadworthy car to drive anyway. I took him 3 goes to pass it in the first place. :-?
