I wonder if the audience will still laugh and applaud Wossy's desperate attempts to be witty and clever, seeing as they are tax payers and are paying for his lack of talent.

Of course the BBC could always pay the fine out of the estimated £1.5M Ross wasn't paid while he was suspended.

Don't think he exactly got away with it!

they got suspended because of there actions. but did the bbc know they was going to be fined as well, otherwise they could of said were also fining you an extra 75k each to cover the fine that will be imposed on us in april. so they havent paid for it have they really.
same as george michael found slumped over his wheel out of his head how many times on drugs, he hasnt been forced to go to rehab or lost his licence for being in charge of a vehicle while on drugs.

celebrities seem to do and say as they please and a front page story is usually forgotten by the end of the week. they dont give a toss

But they didn't broadcast it - the BBC did!  They got suspended for acting inappropriately, but it was the BBC who took the editorial decision to go on a broadcast it and therefore the BBC who should take the rap for it going out to the public.  It was not live remember, someone edited it and deemed it fit for broadcast - and it was not JR / RB.
