Cheap MOT.
« on: 24 April 2009, 20:35:59 »

Took my Elite for the dreaded MOT yesterday and it failed only on the emission test. The tester suggested i try adding some Forte Injection Cleaner to the fuel tank, give it a blast up the motorway and take it back for a re-test this morning. Paid £13-99 for bottle of cleaner from local accessory shop and did as suggested. Took it back for re-test and it passed ok. Cheapest MOT ive had in years! ;D

MOT was £39-95. Add on the £13-99 and it's errrr......... A lot less than i normally end up paying. :D  Usually don't get away with less than £100.

I'd swap you any day. I grew up in the country & really miss the peace & quiet :( :'(

As for the price, as long as you get a pass, it doesn't matter :y

Yeah ive thought that as well and tend to stay away from "special offers". Been using this particular testing station for a few years now as they don't do repairs there. Free re-test as well.

Not to all tractor owners presenting cars for MOT. Try to use a good, branded fuel for a tank or 2 before hand, and give it a thrashing just beforehand.

My MOT today cost in total, £49.23, this includes the fail and th retest, and the 23p was for a bulb I changed just before presenting car.  Did have to change to indicator bulbs last night though, about 50p each
