Just To Keep "The Boy" Happy
« on: 29 April 2009, 21:26:31 »

She's finally done it, SWMNBO has joined the Pikey Brigade.

After the wash-out we had at Newent in the "Part-Time Pikey Wagon, Helen has gone and got a full blown Pikey Wagon as the part-time one was up to it.

We are off to Bala off Road Site this weekend with the Frontera Owners Group. I will be able to compare the Fronty with the Green Ovals that I've owned, Series 2 LWB, 2A SWB, a 74 Rangy and the "Thing" I just got shot of had the priviledge of owning.

Should have said. There's been one dumped one by the side of the road in Alton all week. ::)

There's a coincidence, given that the pikeys fun fair was in town last week. ;)

Probably a million years old, and heavily abused.

Still miles better than any half-heart attempt that Vauxhall have stuck a badge on ;)

Series Landies & defenders are the best off roaders in standard form without question. Sadly as stated they rot like merry break but you can galv chassis them. I did with my series 3 & it was great fun & selfishly rewarding pulling new fangled so called 4x4's up the hill they could'nt manage or out of the mud pit they got stuck in.
    How we laughed etc... ;D ;D ;D
