Bl**dy mobile phone drivers
« on: 03 May 2009, 22:45:49 »

Came across two idiots so far this weekend.

1st BMW, no signals, completely oblivious - driver on phone ::)

2nd I had fun with, parked on a main road next to the entrance to a garden centre, I slowed right down as I thought she was letting people out - no just sat there. As I drove past I saw the phone and she jumped in the air when I blew my horn ;D

20 foot later and there was a car park ::)

It's absolutely no use passing these laws and threatening severe penalties if you simply dont have the numbers of officers necessary to police them.
You can drive around for weeks, in a built-up urban sprawl, and not see a single traffic car.

I've seen people using their mobiles in full view of 'ordinary' patrol cars, and the police just cannot be arsed.

..... and the police just cannot be arsed.

But they need to lead by example. I shook my head & slapped my wrists at a copper who was texting while waiting for the lights to change, his look back at me just suggested .... opps off!  :-?
