Before I port my number....
« on: 31 May 2009, 17:39:09 »

Currently on vodaphone, sim only, 125 mins and 200 texts for £10 a month.

Thinking of going over to Three, 75 mins, 100 texts and unlimited internet and email for £15 a month.

My last 6 bills from Vodaphone average out at 60 mins and 8 texts per month, so the times are not an issue. Email access is what I am after, but service and coverage count for a lot !!! I only use it in the car as I get free unlimited calls on my landline  :)

Anybody use Three and what is it like?

Very good here, patchy when there's low cloud, but I guess that's the same with all. :-/

I'm on 3 and surf all the time at work, like now, and find it good. Coverage can be a little patchy in the sticks but is generally quite good.

Try and leave Vodafone and see what they offer to keep you.  I asked them to cancel my £20pm contract and switch to payg but I'm now paying £10pm for ? minutes any network anytime, but with something called stop the clock that lets me talk for up to an hour for just 3 mins of my talktime... and more free texts than I need, I locked in for 18m and got a Nokia phone free too, just £5 p&p.
