Had one for a couple of years, good all rounder, decent power and handling .

Think my exhaust manifold cracked the week the warranty ran out, Nissan sorted it though :).

Way Way Way overpriced though IMHO.

I bought one brand new in 97.
Astounding performance & handling for what it was and the actual year, but they NEVER held their money for some reason.

Prices for that car right now are:

Dealer: £3,900
Private Good: £3,000
Private Average: £2,200
Private Poor: £1,500
Part Exchange: £2,500
Trade Buy In: £2,300

I know it's had a few mods, but I certainly don't see £3,200 worth of mods on it to be honest.

Get the 300, the 200 is pretty pants in comparison.

Not the most reliable cars out there though

I had one years ago as a company car.....seemed fairly quick to me back then......i killed the turbo on it....nissan dealer wanted silly money to replace it....so my company sent it back to lease company (it was on a non maintenance lease)

Always remember getting stopped in it, by the police, and them wanting to move it to a 'safer' position, so I handed the keys over and let them get on with it......I couldnt help smirking, when 10mins after the PC moved it, he still hadnt worked out how to get the keys outa the ignition  ;D (you had to press a button under the steering column for it to release the ign key)

I used to have an S13 and it was a great car when it worked, which was not very often.  The SXOC is the place to find out any info on them, a good forum.  www.sxoc.co.uk

Cheers,

Thanks Rich.Had a day trip to Brighton today to look at the car which was nice and full service history and good 'mods' bills etc but bloke wouldnt go below 6 grand which was a bit steep imo,so we left it.Thanks for the sxoc link. Will give it to my lad.He works in a small IT firm and all the lads there are in to Jap cars and mods so he's just got to have one, will keep looking, they all look like 'money pits' to me !
