seems to me this has been brewing for years - but i don't know if this is just brinkmanship on the part of the teams, or a genuine breakaway - if i know anything about F1 it's that what Bernie wants, he gets - maybe this is one time he loses?

This has been rumoured to be happening since last month when the media were reporting they had all made up.  The issue never went away, and certainly the rumours have been growing much, much stronger in recent days.  Maybe its where I live that we hear more rumours, but to me, it seems to be usual sloppy BBC reporting.
