Hmmm, I'll take tyres that wear faster but will grip when I need them to thanks! ;)

Your wallet may not thank you yet....

I find they grip fine in normal driving, with the snow last week was fine. Got in thick slush and tracked fine  :y

Its tail happy cornering is due to it being unbalanced.....that boat anchor under the bonnet makes it a bit nose heavy....!!! :y :y

Worth it though to see Tunnies face!

Was an entertaining drive  :D amazing how far you can push a car.

That set of lights at the end of the road near you, were you always turn left...... reckon you could get my 2.2 to step out like the 6 pots?  ::)
Tunnie, with those back tyres on your 2.2, my mum could get it stepping out...

 ;D ;D ;D

I bloody love the tyres on my 2.2, ok they don't give the most grip but 15k of miles, + previous owner and STILL 8mm on front! & 6mm on rear, who cares about the grip! My wallet doesn't!  ;)

I really really find these tread depths and mileages hard to beleive.

New, tyres only have 7 - 8 mm tread from the factory, some less..

These things must be made from pure cast carbon steel with the traction capabilities to match!!

well i reckon the tyre shop near where i live is the busiest in the world, "the local people of limited intelligence" cannot pull out of a junction without a 30 second wheelspin.
there is one perticular numpty in an h-reg rust ridden cavalier,  seems more than happy to make it a ritual -no matter what time of day or night it is. lets hope a couple of front tyres and a set of ujs make him think. (doubt it).

My Mitchelins on the front have still got 7mm on the front after 20K, as verified by MOT a few weeks ago.

My dads set of tyres on his 2.2 have covered just over 41k, MOT's and service history to prove.

2.2's lack the grunt of the V6's, and because we know that we don't thrash them as hard as theV6's.

When dad first got his car on lease, his commute was from Brackley to Cheltenham...50k miles. One set of tyres  :y

And we know what state your dad's tyres are in, don't we Tunnie  ::).

There is more to tyres than tread depth...
