Looking For a Mini DV Camcorder
« on: 10 July 2009, 01:25:22 »

Don't know if anyone can help but looking for a used Mini DV Camcorder.

Models of interest are Sony DSR-PD150P PD150 DVCAM PAL Camcorder or Canon XM1 Mini DV Camcorder or something similar.

I'm keeping an eye on eBay but hoping someone might have some other ideas or even have one to sell themselves? :y :y

I’m in a similar boat as yourself but given that Sony has left me with two dead cameras, one dead and one dying miniDV (and a dickey Panasonic) I’m leaning towards Canon.

Unfortunately I can’t afford a new 3CCD machine with the features I want, but given the problems I’ve had and the more abrasive nature of miniDV tape on it’s heads, I’m nervous buying second hand.

You not thought of one that uses Flash memory, I have the Sony TG3 and love it. Needed one that fits in your pocket so was the perfect choice at the time. Much easier than Mini DV when importing to PC etc.  :y Suppose it depends on budget.
