and ... in defence of the DVLA -- with the numbers they crunch the error rate isn't really any worse than that of any under resourced organisation which has been given a crap system to work with!  Errors always get over reported -- successes don't !!!!

This harks back to a common thread on hhere where thhe workforce in general is driven by impossible targets (often conflicting and usually counter productive in reality) ....... Shut up HC .. there's a rant coming on  :o ::) ::) ::) :D

I don't think it's the fact that they make a few mistakes, that upsets/annoys people - 1% will equate to a huge number - it's just that they don't/won't admit to them when they do.  ;)

No government body will admit to anything, even when caught bang to rights.
As far as DVLA's database goes, it contains errors in excess of 30% at this moment in time.
