washing machine leak

came home from work to find lounge and kitchen with about an inch of water washing machine door seal has split  :(
machine only 9 months old  >:(
waiting for insurance company to send someone round been told will be tonight between 7 and 10
looks like its going to be a long night

Fancy leaving your laptop on the lounge floor, I bet thats ruined now and needs replacing ::)

my brother bought a new tv unit a few years back and to his horror his vcr/dvd player was too high to fit so droped it and claimed on insurance they took all details and said they would be in touch within a few days very next day parcel van turned up with new vcr/dvd  in box brand new free of charge and exactly the same model as he had before and of coarse i didn`t laugh  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

well he has just left
an engineer is coming to look at washing machine tomorrow to see if there was a fault with the door seal  to try and get zanussi to pay for some of the damage (anything to get out of paying)
going to rip up wood/laminate flooring and replace new rug new fridge swmbo's computer got a bit of water in the bottom computer still works he says it will be replaced only 9 mth old
furniture to be assessed when dried out but most likly be replaced
very nice chap though didn't help with the mopping up  ;D
