That really did send a shiver down my spine... And bring a tear to both Emma and my eyes. I'm seriously tempted to read it at a dinner/dance I'm hosting next saturday :-/

Totally agreed Nige. Thanks for sharing :y :y

Good idea That mate, very good idea

Splitting the profits with Help for Heros anyway but just seems very appropriate.....

It is quite moving. Often a role that is overlooked. The government could certainly take note.

Especially when you consider how little they get paid - about £16k a year on completion of training AND then they have their keep deducted!

I hate wars, there must be another way, but I shall always respect and honour our brave armed forces, and wear my poppy with pride.

I totally agree with every single word in that thread and it should be sent to the govt to show what the ordinary people think of how they have treated and handled our military that said govt should then hang their heads in shame and step aside for thr right people to run this country be they labour or liberal or conservative its time we did away with the party policies and did whats right for this country!!!

Well said! :y :y :y

As an aside... I did read this, although very slightly adapted, at my dinner dance on Saturday and it had the desired effect. After all the speeches were done I had another £60 or so thrust into my hands for H4H :y :y :y

In total we raised nearly £200 between the 2 events... Not bad as there were only 40 or so of us :y :y
