It's got to go!
« on: 19 March 2007, 19:18:06 »

Settling down, getting married, starting a family, and needing to save as much money as possible over the next few years means i'm seriously thinking about trading the Omega in for something smaller and cheaper to run.

Its a 2001/Y 2.6 CD in really good condition. Interior & exterior are spotless. Cambelt & Tensioners done about 5k miles ago. It has an aftermarket Rear Parking sensor fitted, as well as cruise control added.

MOT'd until April 2008, and Taxed til end of August. What sort of money do you think i should be able to get for it? Is anyone interested?

Some pics here....

AFAIK, only things it needs are a new battery for the power sounder, and either the rear wheels balanced, or new rear tyres.

You'll not find a bigger boot for a trolley and all the kiddy bits.

PS Love the colour  :y

PPS Keep it - the money you'll spend on changing it will pay for the petrol.  :)

It's true

You won't save in the long run by getting rid.

Lesser cars are a false economy... and you have one of the best engine's available to Omega's

You could always LPG it, if it's mint and you plan for long term savings...

Plus... if you're being a family man.. think of the safety... I'd personally rather burn some more fuel etc and feel safe in my meega.. than get 40mpg and be sat in a roller skate........

Couldn't agree more with what the others have said. I actually went out and BOUGHT an Omega when my wife got pregnant with our first. You'll need a big boot for the buggy...and all the nappies from Costco.  :y
