new tv

Alright guys  its time to upgrade my tv  I want a 1080p set and a larger screen
currently i have a 46" toshiba dlp but i am unsure as to what is the best value.
I would like a minimum screen size of 50"
anyone got any ideas.
btw (I dont do sony)

SAmsung have some reasonable deals on at the moment and good quality screens IMHO.

Erm i`d go for samsung or panasonic both of these are very good tv`s especially in the 40" to 50" range...Plus there are some good deals to be had out there from the big 2 so to speak....Stay away from hitachi and phillips as well i saw too many of those come back when i worked at comet..... :y

Worth checking out the customer service side of things too, in case things go wrong - hopefully not though.  :y

I would agree with an earlier reply Panasonic and Samsung are both great. I have recently purchased both and am very happy with them.

I bought a 42inch LG a few months ago and am very, very happy. Hooked it up to sky HD and now watching football and HD movies is simply great :y

W series Sony LCDs are pretty good and not their most expensive model
