I`m afraid lots of the big name stores would rather keep any cctv on their cashiers and tills rather than customers as they dont trust their staff....

Is that really a surprise when the minimum wage level of today is less than what the unskilled could earn 20 odd years ago?

There must be some cctv footage some where of them surely. I would happily do five years in return for five minutes with a baseball bat and a "chat" with the scum that did this
