It most certainly is an obscene amount of money. The likes of Luton Town, Rotherham etc (even Leeds a few seasons ago) get punished by the FA have had money troubles with sums far far less than that!
Still, it's mainly down to the marketing men and successful business-types that have got every other club to try and compete.

And that's the trouble with football in my view - the competition isn't always on the field of play.

Have to say, I'm enjoying the football teams Leeds have been up against since our drop from the top flight, but I still would like to see us back in the Premiership and Champions League - which means dancing with these marketing and business-type devils!
