connecting problem

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (******* account.

Server Response: An error has occurred.

Protocol: NNTP
Port: 0
Secure(SSL): No


it keeps happening when i open live mail page?? cant connect, have to re open the page about 5 times to get a connection.

wouldn't give that error - o2 gives a different error if you dont have static ip option

OK, your settings look wank.  Go to Accounts section, and re-setup the mail servers and logins as per Hotmail's instructions

There's something radically wrong with that account. Have you tried removing it, restarting WLMail and then adding it back, accepting all the defaults in the wizard? If you have no NNTP accounts, Options > General tab > Use newsgroup Communities support features should not be selected.

And check that your AV is not scanning incoming and outgoing mail.
