The original one was a MK1 Ford Consul GT, subsequently replaced in later episodes with a MK1 Granny (Ghia).

I have ALL 53 episodes and Both the Movies and also the Orignal Armchair Theatre episode on my PC if anyone wants them. In fact I have most of John Thaw's work, Kavanagh QC, Inspector Morse, and my personal favourite Goodnight Mr Tom, BRILLIANT
