Tunnie, at the end of the day, if we dont ask/make these moronic posts then how do you expect us oldies to learn things.

Thats what you younger generation are here for.   ;D ;D :y :y

True, but somethings i just don't ask about, like your thread on drills going into Amps and volts and which is more important and all that. I don't have any idea on the finer details of voltages, and whats best for drill output, but i don't blast into posts saying someone is talking bullsh!t, then laugh it off  :-/

Alternatively, can the power button be set up as a lock button in the buttons menu?
That's how my ageing universal with 6.5 does it

think that does lock it (not got access to the handset)

On my only TyTn, that did the same thing, press the button and it goes into sleep mode. I never had a problem with it turning on, but seems a problem with the HD in particular  :-/

Ta for the help though  :)  :y

Earlier Windows Mobile had Lock on Todat screen iirc. TouchFlo3D sucks in all its implementation - trying to make a non Apple device act like an iPhone, and failing pretty spectacularly.

WM6.5 is a bit different though, still getting to grips myself.

Advantage of WM is that its dead easy to write apps for, so write one ;)

Oh, and if you have nothing constructive or useful to say, probably better to keep quiet ;)

maybe if it was my phone, does pressing and holding end call button do anything? Have no experience of the HD, used to ones with slide out keyboard.

My rom gives list of options from pressing an holding End, cant remember if lock is one of them, as I've set mine to automatically end data connection.

That option on stock roms? Did see some forums mentioning that button is customisable

Generally, yes, but does depend on the customisations HTC chose to put on
