Sad Day XJ40 died

My XJ40 is terminally ill, sad day today.  Now I have the job of stripping bits and listing on flea bay :'(

 I HAVE TO HAVE A XJ40 3.6 AUTO THAT I AM TRYING TO SELL
 OR BREAK FOR SPARES
  THE WHOLE CAR IS AVAILABLE IF YOU NEED ANYTHINGN
    ENGINE AND GEARBOX ARE GREAT AND CAN BE HEARD RUNNING

Thanks for the offer, but I have anJaguar Sport XJR to replace it, and hopefully an 89 Series 3 6L V12 Sov, coming next week; as a weekend car.

I'll be breaking the XJ40 Sov, it has good XJS alloys with good tyres.

Hydraulic failure killed the beast. Not worth removing the hydro suspension and hydro brake servo and replacing with conventional parts, also coupled with failing rack :'(.  Tin worm can be a problem, but any BL car of the time was infected at build, they had a guy with a big tin of the worms at the end of the production lines, inserting them into all the little holes designed for rustproofing, was cheaper than waxoyl :)  Most Fords and Vaux of the same time also got a good dose :)
